- 1. Mix Evenly
While you make a scented candle, whatever you are melting dyes or essential oil, possibly try to use a tool like long spoon or stick and stir the liquid wax until they are mixed evenly.
- 2.Temperature Control
Never leave melting wax unattended. Better with one thermometer, so you can monitor temperature and prevent overheating, in case essential oil getting volatilized.
- 3.Fire Safety
If you use an electric stove, keep flammable materials away from your workspace and have a fire extinguisher or a bowl of water nearby(avoid accidental fire).
- 4.Proper placement for Wicks
Wicks tilted? whatever jars you choose, please ensure the wick is properly secured to avoid shifting.
Keep it Straight and Middle, or it can cause uneven burning or flare-ups.
Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each use, not just to reduce the smoke, but also to prevent excessive flame.
- 5.Choose heat-resistant container.
Avoid using containers that are not specifically designed for candle making. Thickened cup bottom, High temperature resistance, Anti-explosion, high transparency.
